I like different ideas from different manufacturers. Some ideas are cool. Some ideas are useful. Some ideas are gimmicky. Keep the ideas coming.

Anyone here like the Ram's RAMBOX bed side storage boxes? I think they are pretty cool. Again, I like ideas from different manufacturers.

+1 on the rambox, would love an option like that on the '21 F150.

I thought I would like the RAMBOX, until I saw how cramped they made the bed. I had the same complaint about the Avalanche, it makes it really hard to load and unload stuff.

It's good to have choices though, I'm sure they work great for some people.

I'll concede: Four options I wish the F150 would have: 1) Power in the bed (12V and 110), 2) Bumper Step (Like Chevy), 3) Wireless Phone Charger (Like the Edge Platty that I rented, had), 4) Flush Floor Storage in rear (Ram style)

I thought it has merit but executed poorly. I bet even money the original design was cheapened out by the finance crew and mucked up a good thing. still think there is quite a bit of wasted space in there to be used.

1- I have never seen anyone use their 110v bed outlets on their Taco. 12v I might use.
2- I think those bumper notches look hideous. If needed I would rather have an Amp step.
3- I agree that would be nice for my passengers phone. Mine is plugged in for Android Auto 80% of the time.
4- Sounds like a good idea. I wonder what is under that space. If it means no 36 gallon tank then forget it.

Added costs and weight. I would be happy with an all metal tailgate and lose the plastic cap. The trucks are already way over priced.

I like having a plastic cap. It should be designed to be cheap and easy to replace though because that top lip takes a lot of abuse. I hate the way the current tailgate bumps out near the top. That ridge is always getting in the way and starting to get marked up.
