Have a question for those of you getting Gorilla parts from ebay. Gorilla states that they stamp their parts as shown with Gorilla. I haven't seen the ebay listings displaying that view. How do we know the ebay parts are not copies?
Maybe the f150 lug nuts are not tall enough to stamp in the side as they show in their document.
You are smart to double check anything on Ebay. I think these are a pretty good bet. The seller has a 100% rating and seems to be a good guy and offers a 100% satisfaction or your money back and all that. Gorilla also gives a lifetime guarantee.
I did a lot of searching and if anything the Gorilla add is the ONLY place I found where they are rolled marked on the shaft. Interesting.
for $12.30. Then in the description it states:Item model number 61148CX Manufacturer Part Number 61148CH-60.
They were on back order for about a month. They finally came last week. The price went up to $12.55 now, (Prime) but they are out of stock again. So order and wait if you want the ultimate bargain. Printed is "Gorilla 61148CX M14x1.5" on the side of each nut.
Not sure why they come in a pack of 40, what am I supposed to do with the extra ones? Oh well, I guess you can't have too many nuts!
It looks like they got rid of the old CH nuts, but if you come across them cheap, be careful.

Quote:Gorilla's predecessor to the 61148CX was the 61148CH, someone posted in one of the Chrysler forums that they contacted Gorilla for clarification and the only difference is that the CX is .05" taller.
Amazon has a set of 40 of the old style 61148CH for 12 bucks.
Does anyone know if these will fit our trucks?
LOL, been there, done that.
This will be repetitious, but it really happened. I spotted those 61148CH nuts for that same $12 price. So I called Gorilla, and asked the older-sounding lady that answered what the deal was with the cheap CH nuts.
Now the funny part. She said that the CH was an older model and has been superseded by the CX.
So, I asked, does the CH fit my truck, a 2016. She says "We highly recommend that you use the CX as they are the newest available." So I pressed, and asked if they would work. She says "We highly recommend that you use the CX as they are the newest available". Exact same words. So I was getting the idea that the CH was not a good idea., LOL.
Now, a few posts up, we get the warning from a poster about Gorilla nuts getting pitting.
Putting 2+2 together, I now have to wonder if those are the CH nuts that pitted, and that is why there is now a CX. We'll see, because the plating on the CX looks really good.

Actual photo of one of my 40. What I am trying to say is they are actually the CX version! I guess I was as clear as mud. Apparently Chrysler folk are more cheapskates than Ford owners.
