Default Low fuel indicator

Does anybody know when the low fuel indicator light/warning comes on? I have the 36 gallon tank and had approximately 42 miles to empty showing. I don't normally let it get this low but was just curious if it gives a warning and is working properly. I didn't want to run it any lower so I went ahead and filled her up.

Yes it will put up a warning and ding. I have the big tank and it comes on around 32 miles to E maybe. On a side note when I fill up that low I always have 8-10 gallons left. I just checked my gas log and 31.4 is the most I've ever added to fill up the tank.

On your fill up how many gallons did it hold?

don't run mine down, but a month ago got caught in a 13 with 26 ft enclosed with two sleds and two quads loaded, hit zero miles to empty and made it about 20 miles to the next gas, put 136.6 liters in the 136 liter tank.
I don't recommend it, but empty does not mean empty, was getting about 8 mpg with that load

I have the 36 gallon tank also. My low fuel light comes on around 35 miles to empty like Ranger's. Haven't had any problems while driving running that big tank low and truly love the cruising range. I have had a fuel issue worth discussing; Fueled up in Salem OR and drove to Sister in law's house south of Sacramento CA. When we arrived I backed uphill into her driveway and parked there for the night. The next morning I used remote start to warm the cab up which ran it out of gas. I had to roll down into the street and try a couple times before it would start. After looking closer at the fuel tank I think I may have been okay if I had pulled into the drive way so the front end was higher. Gauge still showed 75 miles to empty and it took 32 gallons to fill it. Mine always seems to be accurate when I compare gallons burned vs. what I pump in. Anyway, in that big tank 4 gallons can get lost in the corner if it's not sloshing around, lol.

I've (unfortunately) got the 23 gal tank. I've had mine down to 20 to empty or so... never got a warning or light.
