Loose Steering
Hello Everybody,
I am just looking for some advice..
I have a 2015 F150 4x4 5.0 and I have very sloppy steering.
Some history, I have changed the EPS Belt after a failure and worked great, now I have very sloppy steering. (Like 3 inches of play before the steering activates)
I have replaced inner and outer tie rods but the problem still persists. I'm wondering if anybody has had an experience with this problem?
I am thinking either ball joints or the rack is FUBAR.
I am planning on taking this to the stealership once I get home from my next work hitch, just looking for some insight on this in the mean time
Thanks

Do you see the front wheels begin to move after that much steering input
If yes, there is some serious front end or Rack fault.
If the front is tight, the Sensors under the Steering Wheel have an issue.
A good Scanner able to test EPS function should set code to give you a primary fault indication.
.
Basically, the Sensors tell the Rack Control when to move, how far, how fast and where to stop.
Good luck.,
