Default Longtubes

New to the site! Adam Anderson. I have an 18 f150 5.0 4wd. Jlt cold air intake current tune livernois 93 tune , and had borla cat back touring. Too quiet so I hacked off muffler and mid pipe now running resonator in place of mud muffler no muffler sounds great!!! But I’m looking into some longtubes and catted y pipe. I’ve researched. And what I’ve co w up with is.. remove ac compressor, jack passenger side motor up and remove starter. Is this true? Are there any better ideas , it’ll probably be done in my shop on jackstands unless I can convince one if my buddies to use a lift. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!!

I did all that on my 12, on my 15 I didn't mess with the compressor. If you can weld, buy a few HarborFreight wrenches that fit the bolts so you can cut them into different angles and lengths and not ruin any good ones you may have. Helps immensely.

I would also recommend finding a good muffler. Longtubes will make your current setup sound TERRIBLE. And far too loud to enjoy driving

Thanks. I like some some hobo freight!!! I have a welder . how’s the easiest way to jack passenger side up w/o crushing oil pan? I was thinking somehow maje something g to lift on the engine mount . Yes I’m thinking going with a magna flow or black widow muffler.

I think I used a wood block to lift it on the mount and put another block under the mount or something like that. I don’t remember 100%.

i ran a Venom 300 on my 12 with catless longtubes with a Borla ProXS as a resonator and it sounded great with no drone. The Borla toned it down a lot vs just the BlackWidow and made it livable
