Default Linex the cab floor?

Has anyone after striping the cab down ever had the cab floors linex'd? I think it would be very durable, easy to clean plus add a unique touch.

That makes no sense. Why would you line-x the cab and then put all the carpet and so forth back on? Linex is not a sound/thermal insulator.

If you mean to say get rid of the carpet and everything else and just leave the line-x spray exposed, you have harnesses and modules and stuff on the floor. You dont want those exposed.

There would be no carpet pointing back in the linex would be exposed.

I think vinyl floors are fine if you can get those. No need for line-x inside.

Yeah but how sweet does that look? I am really contemplating this option.

I would think it would be extremely loud and would also make the cabin hotter due to the loss of all the insulation with the carpet. On an old Jeep I wouldn't hesitate to do it but not on a new F150.

Would be cool, you should take the doors off too...

Do you have a specific reason to do this? I could see if you worked in a muddy/wet environment, even then with all of the electronics in these trucks you wouldn't be hosing it out, so it really wouldn't be that easy to clean.

As mentioned, for a Jeep, sure, for a new F150, why?

I used Al's heat and noise spray on liner for the floor of my FJ Cruiser. It made it very quite and knocked the heat I also did doors and top. If is easy to apply. Search the name.

I think it would look like ***. Most floor pans are meant to have carpet or vinyl covering for sound insulation and aesthetics.
