I took a piece of black gorilla tape and covered the top 2/3's of the lens. I stuck it on, trimmed it to fit and it looks great. If it starts to peel I'll do it again. Cheap and easy!

I did the same thing, but used 3/4" electrical tape.

Great idea. I've already got Gorilla tape in my toolbox.

Visor mirror bulbs are not LED as well as the license plate bulbs.

That's one I hadn't thought of. Do you know the bulb size? Gotta be pretty small.

This is about the only pic I have where you can see it. Looks close at the top of the plate light lens. Like the guys are saying, just a small piece of Gorilla tape works well. I essentially covered up about 60% of the lens, the top portion. Plate still gets lit up bright.
