Lightning Blue wheels
Hey all, I know this topic has been beat to death about wheels and tires, but I've spent days, if not weeks, looking through here and online for pics. I have purchased wheels online before only to get them on and think, eh... they're ok. So if any of you fellow blue owners could post pics of your aftermarket wheels, maybe that would be enough for me to pull the trigger. Since there are like a million different wheels to choose from, it is rather daunting trying to decide without actually seeing them on the vehicle itself. TIA!

Yeah, that's what I am kinda wrestling with as well. All you see are black, which do look good, but kinda outdated for some. I do have the chrome bumpers and door handles on mine, so i would really like to have some sort of combination black/chrome to maybe tie everything together...
I think part of the problem I have with black wheels is in part due to tire size. Too many of them are set up to poke a bit more and a wider tread.
The black wheel, poked out some beyond what stock does, too wide and short against a dark vehicle, it looks like a blob.
No disrespect intended as we all have our preferences. Just the wide tire/rim crammed under a fender of a dark vehicle is just lost. Mostly in photos of course, but still.
I've always had oversized tires, I know the concept for sure. I have no issues with the goals whatsoever. Things have just changed a lot from what I prefer to what is common.
I will likely keep the stock 18" wheels on my truck and replace with next size up and call it good. I don't know if I'll keep the truck long enough to spend $2000 on tires/wheels. At last $1500 anyway. I want to, but it's not looking promising. I have to choose tire size carefully for the stock wheel as they are so darn inset (yuck).
Anyway, carry on.
The blue trucks do look nice. Ford did a good job there.

You are definately correct on your assesment. That is why I wanted to see actual pics, of course like you said, sometimes the pic doesnt always give you the "correct" information. I was going to do like you, and keep the stockers for now, but with being 18", the only bigger sizes come in LT and I do not want the LT tires due to the extra weight. If i went to the 20's, i can do the 276/60/20 and they would be roughly an inch taller and yet still a "P" tire.
