Lighting tricks
With regard to headlights; Anyone figure a way to get Highs + Lows
and/or Highs+ Fogs.
I've been able to get most of my cars to do this. It usually involves a jumper or two in the control box. No big deal. I do a considerable amount of back roads late at night where there's MOOSE. These are great mods for safety.
Of course, you need to be curteous for other motorists . . .

Highs + Lows is easy, turn on headlights, then turn on high beams.
Highs + fogs takes a little more work. easiest is probably a fuse, relay and toggle switch.
Though I find highs + fogs screw up my distance vision at night with all the foreground light from the fogs. Great if you doing 25mph or less, but not so much over about 45mph.

I didn't check my ride, but usually the lows turn off when the highs are on. I'll research this better.

You're spot on with that. I use them up in NH to spot moose at 2am. Errol anybody? LOL I've determined empirically, that at speeds over 40mph it's virtually impossible to avoid them.
The fogs increase your periphery which helps to spot the beasts.
