Question Lifter Noise

Well, new guy here. I have a 2018 F-150 Lariat with the 5.0 in it and about 10K miles. I just noticed a couple of days ago that when I was making a right hand turn and I had my window down that it sounded like my lifters were knocking as I was pulling out. I am no where close to a mechanic so it may not be them. Anyway, kinda like if you were driving a 5 speed vehicle and you tried to start out in 3rd gear or something. I did a couple weeks ago put some non-ethanol gas in it, but not a full tank. I run non-ethanol in my mowers, etc and before I fill up my gas cans, I fill up my truck to make sure all the ethanol is out of the hose. I may have put 10 gallons in it or so. I think it should all be gone now, could this be causing the problem?

Thanks,

Kevin

Non-ethanol won't hurt the engine, it's actually better for it. Have you checked the oil. The recent 5.slows have had major issues with oil consumption, to the point of replacing long blocks.

I have not checked the oil. I was told to have it changed every 6 months regardless of miles by the Dealership shop foreman. That's what I have done. It was just changed in March. I only use it for personal use because I have a work truck. I will check it when I get home. I have read some threads on here regarding them using oil. Damn, hate to think a brand new truck and I have to worry about it having enough oil!

Thanks for the heads up!

I did check the oil this evening and it is fine.
