Default Lift or Level

I have a 2017 f150 stx on stock 20 inch rims.

I want to know what the best route to go on a budget is for a more agressive stance with the least amount of complications. I don't want to change rims if at all possible

Level kit is pretty simple and sounds like it would fit the bill for you. Also very budget friendly compared to a proper lift. The only downside/trade off would be the possibility of accelerated axle wear due to angle (subjective, some people will say they haven't noticed any additional wear). Also, will likely negatively effect your gas mileage. Might not be by much, but worth noting, if that's a concern.

Level...I wouldn't go anymore than 1 1/2" or 2" or you could risk extra wear and tear on your axles. I put a 1 1/2" on my 15 screw and still left a very slight rake on the truck, which I liked. Level had no affect on ride quality or mpg.

Lift... no, level.... nah. Do what you want to do. There are several threads on the two, I recommend looking at both and deciding what you want to do.
