Well since I'm finally retired I'm gonna install the after market inner cooler that has been collecting dust. I've read dozens on the relocation of the license plate. They all looked so cheap and flimsy I decided to design and 3d print my own out of CF. The four mounting points will be much stronger than the basic 2 bolt. We are required front and back here so no choice.

 

Ford actually has an offset plate holder. I had one on my 2011.

 

Glad I dont have to run a front plate.

 

Thats pretty slick for sure, but mishimoto makes ones thats pretty cool and you dont need to drill into your plastic with their kit, kind of a pricey though, and does use up a tow hook it looks like

 

If I can design and make my own I do. Printing this from (PETG-CF) carbon fiber cost me abt $15 including the amazon inserts.
There's a lot to be said for custom.

front plate - true. My family member received a ticket from a local deputy for not displaying front plate on his sedan. Another time received a warning when it was on display on dashboard. PITA.

I bolted mine right to plastic trim piece…
