Default Leveling kit / tires question.

Hello, i have some tires in my scope (285/70/R17) and i have a completely stock 2018 f150. The guy selling the tires / wheels offered to throw in a levelling kit as he just has one sitting around. He said its a 2" levelling kit (rough country) and it's just the 2 pucks upfront. Is this a bad idea? I always thought there was more to a levelling kit and not just the 2 pucks. (They bolt on top of strut). Also opinions on these tires / wheels?

The 2" spacers up front is a pretty common setup. You wouldn't need anything else. You could add larger blocks and change out the shocks in the rear if you wanted to, but it's not necessary. You should be able to clear those with that leveling kit, as long as the wheel offset isn't anything too crazy.

Yeah, you can add blocks to the rear at a later time if you want to get back some of that factory rake.

Do the spacer 'kits' include hardware or does it use factory hardware?
I'd suggest new hardware if the pucks were meant to include them.

2” Leveling Kit Rear is 3/8” Higher than front

The tires on my new 2019 F-150 are the same width as the ones you’re looking at, but are 3/4” taller and the work perfectly. I had my Ford dealer do the work 2” leveling kit, alignment and tires. Mine drives and rides great. You won’t have any problems.

I put a 2.5” leveling kit on mine and it was just the pucks. I didn’t do anything to the rear and it rides level. I’m running 35’s and they work great.

There isn’t much to a leveling kit, but you’ll want to IMMEDIATELY go to the alignment shop. I’d probably go to the alignment shop with the old wheels and tires on. Get the alignment done and your new wheels installed.

Yes. The rear doesn't affect the alignment. I am considering doing it. I did the 2" Motofab level kit. My truck sits .5" higher in the rear. I want a little rake for towing and am going to throw some 1" blocks on the rear since I tow my drag car quite a bit. I am running 305/55r20 Falken Wildpeaks.
