This is the first I'm hearing about issues with a 2" level... makes me want to just throw 285/70/17 on the stock setup and not level it

If you get the right kit you should be fine. get a suspension level and not just blocks. It'll ride much better.

I'm currently running a rough country 2.5" level with 33" KO2s. My truck still had a slight rake (which I like, so I don't go high nose pulling a trailer). I've had zero issues with this setup, and I've been running it for 1.5 years

What is your front and rear measurements after the level and tires? Is this the 275/70/18s? I ordered a 2.5" autospring offset level and can't decide what size tire to go with. We pull our camper alot so I'm not sure if I want to go with too big of a heavy tire but I do want an E rated. I'm just not sure if I need a 295 or bigger tire. But I also want to compliment the size of the level kit. Anyhow, good looking truck and glad you've had no issues with it.

Yes, they are 275/70/18. I wanted a little taller, but didn't want to go wider and get mud sling all over the sides. Also, with this size, there is no rubbing at all. It also raised the front about 3" between the tires and level.

Thanks for the info. I keep swaying back and forth on my decision. I'm leaning towards that size tire now. It would barely change the speedo. It would be a little bigger without causing any issues.

Yeah, my speed is off by about 1 mph, so the change is minimal, and my gas mileage didn't take a big hit either.
