There's been one or two that I recall on here that have replaced the CV, and no one I know in real life. I have before, but that was on a Power Wagon I had 40 years ago. Logic says, ya, experience says maybe, it is something to consider, but if you take care of the truck, don't bury it in mud and water, I'm confident you can get well over 100k miles with no trouble. I think I'd keep the level no more than 2.5".
