This may seem like a stupid question- but for you guys that have required some trimming, what are you using to trim? My shop called and my truck is done and he said he drove it a little and it’s rubbing. My first guess is that it’s the Weathertech mud guards. I’ll dig deeper if not, but just wondering what I should tool up with in order to trim?
Also- what does “spreading the crash bars” mean? I understand what they are and some people remove them, but spreading them?
thanks!
ill try to get my pics posted up tonight

Spreading the crash bars is done by putting a hydraulic jack called a "Porta Power" in between them and pushing them farther apart.

Spreading the crash bars means exactly what it sounds like. You buy or rent a porta-power, put it between your front and rear crash bar, and spread them farther apart. This way you can run larger tires and/or more aggressive offset wheel, without removing the crash bars.

I'm gonna advise against cutting the bars out. Plastic all day, bars I'll never cut. I spread my bars, and you honestly can't tell one way or the other. If spreading them causes issues, I can assure you cutting them out will be worse. Lol

Did you have to cut or shave anything for your wheel and tire package?
