Here are some pictures after 2" AS leveling kit, 295/70 r18 Toyo Open Country AT II's on factory 18" chrome package wheels. Still has a little bit of a rake in the front but it sits exactly how I wanted it. Waiting on the mudflaps to get here so I can mount those. Trying to decide if I should ditch the steps or not. Input on removing the steps is appreciated.
If you have kids or ladies getting in and out of your truck they will appreciate the steps so keep'em. I think they look better anyhow but that's just my op...
I think I'll keep them. Put my toolbox in it today. The mud flaps will be here tomorrow. Then I'm done until the warranty is gone and the savings is sitting the right way. Then its getting a Whipple 2.9L.
Looks great! Yes, the running board makes for a nice easy step for getting in and out. I've been used to a 2" level and tires since 2007, so when I got this truck I knew I was doing the 2" level and tires so it had to have the running boards.
The other thing that makes running boards worth their weight in gold is in parking lots. With the level and tires you're now sitting high enough to protect against arsehole dents because most doors on other vehicles sit low enough to hit your running board instead of denting and scratching your doors.

Never thought about the protection aspect. Good info.
