Question Level or Not?

Other than appearance/personal preference, are there performance reasons for a level? What is the preferred level 2” or 2/12”?
2019 KR screw 7000# GWVR pkg, Tow Pkg, FX4 Pkg
275/55R20 Stock GY Wranglers.
Forgive the newbie questions.

Yea, there are performance reasons. If you want worse performance, level the truck.

You install a leveling kit if you want more height or a leveled truck. Many folks recommend 2” or less to avoid undesirable CV angles.

I went with upgraded suspension an the result was a leveling, so yes performance can improve a LOT!
My first suspension mod was an Icon Stage 1 coilover front and rear shocks. On my 2wd adjusted to min lift it raised front 1 3/4 inch rear 0.
Never lost ant MPG or 0-80 acceleration (timed not seat of pants feeling), plus tremendous improvement in road/trail handling over OEM. KM

If you're just doing a spacer on the stock strut assembly then no, there are no performance gains.
