Default Level kit install questions

I am having Bilstein 5100s put on my 2016 F-150 (2wd) tomorrow along with 1" rear block. I remember reading somewhere that there was something that needed to be unplugged to prevent a malfunction of some electronic part, any chance anyone knows what that is?

After I get the kit installed I am taking my truck to Discount Tire, then afterwards getting the alignment done. The truck shop doing the level wants to align the truck after the kit is installed, however I found a place close to me that does it for $30 less and I want the alignment done after the tires are put on to make sure everything is aligned perfectly. Question, is it ok to drive (20 miles or so) with the level and no alignment done to get tires put on and then aligning? Is there a benefit to aligning after new larger tires put on vs. before?

Thanks!

You will want to disconnect the battery when installing the level because it has been known to cause EPAS failure.

Also you'll be fine to drive 20 miles or so to get the alignment.

unplug the steering rack if you weren't sure by now
