Rough Country install instructions have you use a hand operated vacuum device like a Mighty Vac to apply vacuum to the IWE in order to get the teeth engaged properly before tightening the axle nut. The Ford Performance 2.0 Fox shocks level kit also has some good instructions. They tell you to measure the protrusion of the axle shaft end to ensure the teeth are engaged properly before tightening.

In hindsight, I would have bought BOLTS to replace the strut mounting studs, OR ground down the "flutes" on the strut studs to make them easily removable before reinstalling them.
I had a hell of a time beating the mounting studs out of the strut so I was able to reinstall them. Now with the spacer installed...it will be impossible to remove the strut without removing the studs with the it in place.
Unless, you remove the lower control arm! That is starting to look like the best option.

But making the strut mounting studs easily removable while doing a level kit, is also a good idea.
Obviously pressed in mounting studs are not needed, Bilsteins just use bolts, the studs are only pressed in to speed up factory installation & reduce costs.

No problem man. I can honestly say with recent first hand experience this approach was completely problem free. I had both sides done and back together in an hour and a half on a Sunday morning with just a floor jack, jack stands, and hand tools. Good luck, if you have any questions post back here.

I've had struts in/out many times, tried the loosening of the LCA once, on drivers side only. Did my way, pulling the spindle nut, on other side, easier, and don't run the risk of really throwing your alignment off worse.
BTW, spindle torque is 25-30ft/lbs, not 5.
This video shows how to line up IWEs without measuring, or, using a vac pump. Very easy, never ruined an IWE yet. Watch the whole video, a lot of good info if you've never done any of this.
