Less Than A Week Old, Need Your Input Please
Well I have had my truck less than a week. 2016 XLT 302a 2.7 Sport. So far I'm loving it. I do miss my leather and I notice a difference coming from the 3.5. Ride is great. My issue may be caused by a door gap, but I don't noticeably see a difference between the four. They all seem to sit flush. We have had two heavy rains, Wednesday night and last night. My truck sits at a slight downhill angle with the nose down in the driveway. The drivers side rear door sill on the body itself referenced in the pic was full of water both mornings after the water. I looked in the front of the door and it almost seems like the water is riding the rubber sill on the front of the door itself and ending up here. Any input, anyone with similar issue? Thanks guys. I had zero issues with this on my 2012, little disappointing.

The top and side gap are quite different. What's the other side look like?

There is probably some room for minor adjustments. After every time I've been hit I've had to ask them to adjust the gaps as they would be wrong. Can't help but wonder if the Truck was damaged during delivery and the dealership had it repaired, but won't have to wonder if you look at the other side and see if it's the same.

It does seem more snug on that side. Next I would check the drivers side door hinge; look at the bolts and see if they have been removed. Paint will be missing from the inside, or just generally a bit worn.
I did want to add, no two gaps will be perfect and the door seal is there for a reason, to keep water out, but in my experience some water in certain parts of the seal seem normal. If it's on the carpet, or even under the door floor pillar, that's not so normal.

Could just be a minor adjustment is needed. Whats good is though the gap on top is a bit larger, it seems pretty consistent with both front and back door so those at least line up. The only other thing I can think to check is the seal it's self. I removed / lifted mine while installing various things, so perhaps it just needs to be seated better.

I'm going to check it today. Your right though, all door lines lineup and gap is consistent front to back door. Please, please I don't want to regret moving from my '12.
