Lemon Law Process
Have any of you initiated or completed the lemon law process on a 15+ F-150 yet?
I just started the process through the BBB Auto Line, which is the recommended arbitration proceeding in Virginia to get everything started. Just curious to see how it goes and what to expect.
I have a 15 Lariat Screw that has been out of service for roughly 50 days with various problems and has had a non working moonroof for 45 plus days.
I gave the selling dealer a chance to offer me a fair trade on a 16' super duty which i know had a working moonroof and cooled seats. They said the truck would have to be wholesaled and is worth less as it has a history of "known issues." If there was ever a reason for the lemon law, that is it.

2015 Lariat Screw. 3.5
The moonroof has broken four times now. This last episode it was at the shop for 7 days waiting for a new one from ford. The new one came in and was defective as well.
I have had the seats worked on three times. Two sets of leather and cusions on the seats. Two tailgate steps. Hard shifting in the trans. A wheel bearing replaced.

As stated above, good luck. Unfortunate your local dealer would not work with you.

I am in the process of this now.
I'm in Fairfax so send me a PM and I'll give you some info over the phone, Way to much to type, But I have some phone numbers to give you to make it easier. Don't rely on the dealer. That is the last thing they want to do. Way to much work on there end. Please tell me it wasn't Ted Britt Ford.
This has been going on since March and I'm still not finished.
It's a nightmare.
They have replaced my truck though. But the paper work is still going on.

Filing a Lemon Law Claim
To attempt resolution, you must provide written notice to the manufacturer. If the 3 attempts at repair or 30 days have already passed before you give notice, the manufacturer gets 1 final attempt to fix it within 15 days.
Using the Lemon Law to your advantage depends on a few things. To prove your case, first you must keep excellent records of both the problem and the repair attempts, not to mention any communications with the dealer or manufacturer.
If the manufacturer is not forthcoming with a refund or replacement, you will need to take some action within the first 18 months. This can mean:
Trying arbitration (informal dispute resolution) via the Better Business Bureau (BBB) or the manufacturer.
This avenue is for those who wish to resolve their disputes without going to court.
You can still file a lawsuit if you're unhappy with the decision of arbitration.

I have the Cell phone Number of the Zone Manager for our area and until I got that, I was swinging it the dark. It took him 24 hours to start the process and we all met at the dealer and he showed he was definitely in charge. Drove out in the replacement truck of my choice in another 24 hours. You just have to match MSRP to MSRP anything over MSRP and extra tax that you chose you are responsible for.
