Default led tail lights

can you void your warranty if you use load resistors when adding led tail lights to stop hyper flash?
I have a 2019 f150 that i am thinking of putting in led turn/brake lights and would like to know if you would void your warranty by installing load resistors
thanks for any help on this subject

Anything is possible for Ford to try to deny warranty coverage, but it's not likely. The load resistors simply simulate the resistance of an incandescent bulb so you really aren't changing anything.

I would think if you took the truck in for your tail lights not working it would. But for paint flaking I would think you would be ok.
Had water in one of my tail light lenses. Took it in for warranty. Happen to mention I just changed a bulb a few weeks ago and the water wasn't there. She said oh no you should not have done that. Should have brought it in. I don't know if ford will warranty it since you had it out. She took pics of it. They finaly did it under warranty. I felt like saying to her. A little less bit%hen a little more kitchen.

You only need to change one line in FORSCAN to disable bulb outage in the rear lights. That's what I did when swapping to factory LED tails.

I was going to mention what Pioneer74 did. Are the bulbs actually hyper flashing? Mine didn't, it was just the indicator on the dash and FORSCAN took care of that.

I would avoid anything that involves cutting or tapping factory wiring. Build yourself a harness that goes between factory and mods. Easily removable and reversible.

No need to install the resistors. Grab Forscan and make the change. Then have fun changing other things.
