Default LED Question

I have a '15 XLT and would like to install LED brake/turn signal bulbs. Can this be done without forscan to avoid hyperflash?

First, you will only get hyperflash inside the truck. The actual turn signals outside will not hyperflash.

Some companies offer LEDs with built in resistors, so that would be plug n play. I would go that route before hacking into wiring.

Spend the money on good bulbs. Chinesium bulbs may be nice and bright but they won't last. Grab something like Zevo bulbs from Sylvania from a trusted vendor or the local parts store. If you order online, you may receive cheap Chinesium clones instead. Trust.

I do fully back the Zevos. They are the best I ever used in my last two trucks. They rarely if ever have issues and last forever. Turning off hyperflash with forscan would be best with those.

Use good quality (name brand) bulbs, as noted. Also be aware that LED bulbs can sometimes be dimmer than the original bulbs in light fixtures designed for incandescents.

Hyperflash is the dash turn signal flashing/clicking fast?
If so, does it do that the entire time it's activated or only for the first second or two?

EDIT -
Looked up stuffs.
Hyperflash is when an LED bulb pulls so little load than a halogen bulb, the car thinks the bulb is defective/dead and flashes the circuit fast to let you know there's a problem.

I don't have that issue BUT....
I replaced halogen headlights with Morimoto XB Hybrids AND the turn signal bulbs with Morimoto Switchback bulbs. There was no Hyperflash.

I used FORScan to make parking and turns DRL (4th setting attempt)...now the exterior turn bulbs don't Hyperflash, but the interior dash turn indicators Hyperflash for about 2 seconds then flash normally. But only when the headlight **** position is AUTO in DAYLIGHT when the turn signal is amber, not white.

I'm going to try to alter the FORScan DRL settings (again) to not use the turns. All I wanted to add was the rear LED parking halos to be DRL.
