Nailed it.

They are 3/4" round LED marker lights.
Available in a variety of colors for the lens and the light.
Normally seen on heavy duty and semi trucks.

I'm guessing the front grill is taped up because it is in a very cold climate?

Germany (D=Deutschland)
Didnt get that cold when i lived here, no colder then the East Coast of US

Thanks for the answers. I by it with the markers lights, but why they build this in.....

Yes, 6 days a week I work in town only. To get the engine at the normal temp I tape this and remove it when I go in the Woods or with my Horse.

It sounds like you bought it from the original owner that installed the lights.
Well, they are not hurting anything...and certainly the person went through some trouble to install those!
