Default LED Light issue

Good morning all.. So I bought a used 2015 XLT from a dealer. The person who had it before me put LED lights for the signals front and back, break lights and high beams. after I bought it, I noticed when I put the blinker on, both back signal lights blinked at the same time. when I brought it back to the dealer, they said the LED lights were the issue and took them out and replaced with OEM lights. I would like the LEDs back in there, but they are telling me, if they put them back it would eventually cause an issue with the computer system in the truck and void out the warranty. any thoughts on this? I really like the LED lights in there.

You'll need to wire in some resistors to make the LED's work properly.

No, it won't harm other computer components. Seeing as the lighting circuit is on it's own fuse, I don't even see how that is possible. And voiding your warranty? Not true, except you'll be responsible for any damage to the lights if you choose to go aftermarket (but this is true for any aftermarket upgrade).

You'll need either resistors to help with the weird blinking issue or there is a way to use FORSCAN to adjust the light voltage to avoid the need for resistors, I believe.

Hmm, I would have tried this tactic...."I bought this truck from you for xxx, and it came with xyz (including LEDs) and everything should be working correctly for a vehicle to be safetied/certified for the road" . Was it a ford dealer? Assuming they plated and certified it?

All you have to do is go into Forscan and turn off the bulb out warning. No resistors required.
