VLand LED Headlights
I've been looking around at the LED options, and there seems to be 2 levels............the $1000 + options (Morimoto & Alpharex), and the $550 level VLand.
Has anyone on here used the VLAND units?
They seem to get good reviews, look good, and actually look very similar to the Morimoto's.
And obviously the 2 high dollar options are not a US made product, so they could all be coming from the same factory in China for all we know.

No fart cans allowed
I bought Vland tail lights around 2003 when an OEM one got cracked for our 2000 Ford Explorer. Never had any issues with them.
It's a pretty good bet that the vast majority of headlight assemblies are coming from China, including OEM.
I do know that Morimoto bought out a Vland designed LED headlight assembly for C6 Corvette and now markets them under their name, of course at a higher price.

I have the Morimoto XB hybrid an I've been happy with them. I believe I got them on sale for a little over $600.

Ive had the XB Hybrids for 2 1/2 years now. Zero issues and a huge upgrade over the oem halogens.

I installed the ones in your link a few weeks ago. You can get them much cheaper on eBay. I paid about $320 for mine. They look good and light output is great. I had the more expensive set of vlands previously, but they did have the moisture issue mentioned in the post above as well as uv fade after 2 years. My tuck does sit facing the sun most the time though. I figured for the price why not, plus sold the other set and further offset my cost.
So for this new set I ceramic coated the lights with Adams Graphine I had left over, and then used some silicone caulking to cover all the screws (except adjustments) and touch up any areas that looked like a seam or joint that water could get in. I then used lots of dielectric grease on all connecters and also used silicone to seal up the back side of connectors.
I haven't had a good chance to snap night pics, but they have a great cutoff line and are brighter than the more expensive vland lights.

You can submit a "best offer" on Ebay, so I'm going to do that when I buy them.............see if I can save some money that way.

Oh derp my bad. I think the 2015 - 2017 have animated DRLs and are switchback (amber/white) driving the price up. My set the DRLs are just white and on all the time. Other than that the LED lights themselves look identical.
