So the H11 (Mini H8) are what to order for the low beams correct?

Then do I order 2 sets of the 9005 (Mini HB5) for the high beams and fogs?

Should I order the bigger dust boots as well or not even bother?
I was able to cram the low beams into the extended boot. Definitely order them! You have the list correct.

Interesting looks like the mini version uses Cree chips and fans compared to the ones I have with Z-ES chips and braided passive cooling.
Really curious how well they do. Cheaper too.

I bought the deep covers, re-did the installation (Supernova v.3 with braided flexible strips), a second time. Stock covers fit but barely. For the price vs time/hassle savings buy deep covers. The extra space inside the fixture does not hurt, gives more room for convection cooling,

I went with 85mm in my 2017 XL, other posters 83mm. Mine are still on after a year. KM

Do you need the deep covers for just the low beams or the high beams as well?

I installed the Sinoparcels mini H11 in the low beam, and 9005 in the fog lights, I used an 83mm extended dust boot on the low beams and it fits just fine. I'm sure I could have gotten away with the stock boot, but having the extended boot seems like it would help with air circulation.

My high beams had better access so it was easier to use the stock cover, no matter to me I decided to go deep covers for the extra room anyway. KM

Ok just ordered and came in just under $100 for lows, highs, fogs, & 83mm boot covers for the lows. Sweet! Hopefully they work out. Im sure they will be brighter, just do not want them to be blinding to other drivers. And only time will tell about the longevity.

It has been mentioned in another thread but I actually run my headlamps aimed a bit lower than normal. Plenty of light down the road and to the sides to allow this. I can see a clean cutoff at about 100 yards down road with my lows. KM

Over the past month I noticed a quick flicker that happened twice coming from the right side of the driver's side bulb. Only happened on 2 occasions and wasn't constant. I disconnected all the plugs from the canbus module and bulb, cleaned them up and added a bit of dielectric grease. Looks like either condensation or water got in and something might not have been completely inserted. Haven't had a problem since!

So at $100 and 2 years so far, I'm glad I didn't spend more than what I did. Their prices can be found for $40-50 now as well so that's even better. Would definitely buy again!

Is this still the best option?

I also noticed the canbus isn't available anymore.

Think I'm going to finally switch, you've convinced me

Most in this thread are running these bulbs (the versions with braided heatsink):

I'm using the newer mini version and have been quite happy, but they haven't been as extensively tested as the older ones so I can't speak to longevity.
