Lease mods
i tinted the windows, added running boards, and sprayed the rear wheel liners black on my last leased truck....
Nothing said about any of that when I returned it. Hey, who ever bought it after that probably appreciated it.

I have discussed modifications with Ford Credit and the owner of a dealership I have worked with for a while.
The rule I got from both was, you can make any change to any lease vehicle as long as the change either preserves or increases the value of the vehicle.
In other words, a quality spray in bed liner (not a done at home job where it's uneven and looks terrible), adding wheel well covers, adding a tonneau cover, replacing with better tires, window tint, etc, are all totally fine.
What won't fly is replacing the seats with leopard print covers, repainting the hood with a confederate flag, etc, etc.
My 2012 F-150 I did plastidip on the badges, tinted the windows, stuff like that, left it all on when I turned it in and never heard a word.

Depends on how picky the person who evaluates your lease trade-in is!!!!!!
And most times, its NOT the dealer who evaluates it. its a third party leasing company.

I don't imagine there is anyone out there so picky that the things I mentioned as being okay would be a problem.
