Default Lariat grill and with big open area in bumper

So I removed my front licence plate holder of my lariat sport 5.0 because I think it looks a lot cleaner.

But after closer inspection without that plate it leaves a big open whole for rocks/snow/ect. to enter.

Anyone have any problems or issues with this? Is there a billit grill of some sort that you guys are putting in there or just leaving it open?

You are missing the filler panel that should be there. I'll bet it's cheap at the dealer, or someone here will have one.

"Filler panel"..... What exactly is that? I've looked at a few others on here (the 5.0 not the ecoboost) and they looked the same as mine????

I think I'm wrong... I looked around and it seems there is an open area there if no license plate is used.

There should be a panel for states that do not require a front plate (not mine).

Sorry.

No problem.

Anyone else have any thoughts or link to a insert they put in there?

If it was mine, I would find a nice billet to put in there. Sorry, I'll try to find a link to a place I saw that sells them just for that.

On dealer lots ALL the 5.0 have it filled and none of the 3.5, you may have received the wrong one from the factory.

^^ That's what I need for my XLT sport. I live in FL and we done need a front plate.

I think I can remove the plate holder, but there will be mouting holes left behind when I do?

Do you know the part # for the trim piece for the XLT sport with no plate holder?
