Default Lariat 501A VS XLT 302A Poll

I have the final figures on my new 2018 purchase options. These prices are after rebates and A plan pricing. The rebates are very good on the XLT right now, but some of the Lariat options are temping. Given these two choices, which would you pick for yourself?

Lariat $47,750

Xlt $40,500

Difference: $7,250

These are the options that Lariat comes with that are unavailable on the XLT:

-Leather (Can be added For $1,000 installed)
-4A 4x4
-Dual Climate Control
-Keyless Ignition
-Power Folding Mirrors w/ Painted Skull Caps
-Cooled Seats
-Ambient Lighting
-Grill Painted To Match
-Push button tailgate release
-Large Dash Screen
-Soft touch dash

Wife doesn't like leather
Wouldn't mind power folding mirrors all black but not for $7000
I can add the 8 inch cluster for $600 all progrmed from Livitup
I don't caress my dashboard.
The rest I don't need. If it was $700 maybe but probably not.

My wants were heated seats, remote start, sync 3 8 inch touch screen, 36 gallon tank, tailgate step and towpackage.
My 302a has all of these.

Dual climate is nice if used, but not needed. Leather can be added. The 4A though is worth it to me. I also like the PBS, touch locks, and programmable dash where you can switch gauges around. The real question, is it worth it to you. Mine is a 502a and I can't see myself with an XLT after having the 502a.

I just put my Lariat in the shop to fix a factory paint defect. The dealer loaned me a XLT w/ 302A. I have the 501A. I miss all the extras mine has; the push button start, the power folding mirrors that are a must for the parking garage at work, the memory seat position, the dual climate control that my wife can't stop adjusting (her side), the BLIS, the twin panel moon roof. They're both FX4 so the ride should probably not be very different but my Lariat is smoother,,,, maybe because the XLT has 20 in rims vs my 18 in,,,, more rubber and air for cushion.

I was just griping to my wife while traveling home on Easter about how I missed the dual climate control on my 16 Silverado. She was hot and I was cold... I forgot how nice that DCC option was. You can get Katzkin leather on your XLT for that price and it's way nicer than factory leather IMO. The other stuff isn't a big deal to me. My main reason for wanting the Lariat was LED lights, but the price difference wasn't worth it. I'll give Chevy / GMC credit, they at least put out LED / HID's on their XLT equivalent LT's.

501a comes with much more than what has been listed.

We traded in our 2016 302a for a 2018 501a and can say it was worth every penny.

Does the XLT come with these (In addition to what has already been mentioned)...
BLIS with Trailer Tow Monitoring
LED Spot Mirrors

And I must say... Locally the price difference for closely equipped 301a's XLT's to Lariats 501a's is closer to $2500-$5000 difference after all rebates. It boils down to other features and choices beyond the level chosen... http://www.bowenscarff.com/new-inven...8&model=F-150&

+1 for the XLT 302A package. Not a fan of leather and my main wants are close to KWS 2.7's...remote start, heated seats, sync 3 and larger screen. The 4A would be nice but not needed, I also don't caress my dashboard (good one KWS), power folding mirrors, nah, ill keep parking out in the open wherever i go, i live in a rural area where parking garages don't exist.

Probably more depends on what your plans are for the truck, mine is a daily driver, going to the lake on the weekends and hunting/fishing truck...I want it nice with some gadgets but not too nice, XLT is plenty nice for me. Ive got a 2001 XLT super duty that has been fine with me since day one, my wife's flex is a SEL 201A package and has some features I've grown to like, its closely equipped to a XLT 302A.

Yes, the XLT was configured with BLIS & LED spotlight mirrors.

Well, since you'd be paying for it and driving it...which one do you want?
