Default KR question

Is there a way to remove the power step bars? I'm not a fan of these. I would like to remove them and add my own if possible.

This is the only thing turning me off from getting a KR. Silly, I know.

If I can't remove them, I plan on getting a loaded Lariat.

The KR 600A package doesn't come with them. The 601A does. I thought I saw a KR on the extended inventory for our area that had a KR 600A package but it still had the 601A wheels and tailgate step. Just no power deploy boards or BLIS.

To answer your question, I think the power steps are removed fairly easily. The only thing I'd be curious about is the wiring providing power.

I will add, I wasn't a big supporter of power running boards until I got them. The step is so much nicer and easier. And you can still leave them out when you park to help prevent door dings from the idiots.

There is a post of a KR 600A package that has the caribou running boards and it looks really good.
