has anyone heard the kicker sub that ford now offers in the XLT? Ive been reading alot of negative comments regarding the stereos in the new 150's..not sure how they couldve gone backwards instead of progressed.. was wondering if it was worth it to add the sub to the build package or if it sounds like garbage?

I haven't heard but from what I have gotton from all the threads on the stereo, it appears that most of the issues revolve around the Eco boost motors it's ( due to the fake V8 sound ) seems like the guys 5.0 are for the most part happy with it. With that said it has also been said once the subs break in they sound better. I'm sure someone will know better though and chime in.

 

I picked up my KR yesterday and think the stereo is leaps and bounds above what I expected to receive based on comments from this site. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being phenomenal I give it a solid 7!
