Get a small Pelican case like this one. They are typically cheaper on Amazon.
Or this one:

Then you can really secure it to the boat, etc. They float and the top one is IP68.

Just leave the key in the truck and use the keypad, why take a chance. I put mine in one of those bags that does not allow RF transmission, even if someone breaks a window of my truck the truck won't start unless they can find the key bag and remove the key. I rarely remove the key from the truck, prefering to use the keypad.

That comment reminds me of the guy that had his truck broken in to and they stole is FOB because he liked the idea of never needing to carry his keys!

I agree, locking in truck and keypad is the way. I was hoping someone would say" it's waterproof'. Does not seem to be the case. And the risk of it not working while away at the lake is detrimental. The one time a key would be preferred over key-less..

There are waterproof holders made for phones, keys, wallets, ... If you're a boater, then you should buy these.

I like the AquaPac products.

Most you wear around your neck.

In case you thought I was joking, there really was a guy here that had his fob stolen during a break in. In front of his house over night.

Lariat's and above trim levels with keyless start

Even if the FOB is in-operatable one can put the FOB in the EM location and the RF part will still allow one to start & drive the vehicle.

Location & Method is in ALL owners manuals for that year of vehicle.

You can also unlock/remote start the vehicle with the ford pass app on your phone.

Are you 100% certain the water can not ruin the RF part?

Are you 100% certain the water can not ruin the RF part? Manual says if FOB battery is too low, no mention of H2O
