Key Programing
Anyone have an alternative method for programing a spare key for a 2018 XLT? I have the 2 original factory keys and a spare key from Strattec (p/n 5923293). The spare was cut by the dealer and works to unlock the door and turn the ignition (but not start) it will just not "accept" the programing per the instructions in the owners manual.

Go see a locksmith. LOL
Maybe the dealer can help you, since they cut it. I believe that you can only officially have 2 "masters"
Funny story.
I thought I lost my spare. So I bought a replacement on amazon or ebay. I then found a decent locksmith who didn't charge an arm and a leg (after calling about a dozen) to cut and program it. (~$80 I think). He programmed it as a 3rd master. His software can bypass the Ford system. When I got home I thought "where should I store this so I don't lose it?" I thought of a place and low and behold there was my original "spare".Duh
