Default Key issues

hey folks,

I am having issues with my keys not starting my 19 F150 ecoboost. I have checked the battery for voltage currently at 12.6V. I started my truck with my key and went to throw away the trash. The moment I sat inside of my truck the vehicle turned off. I attempted to restart the vehicle and now none of the lights comes on my dash. I grabbed a different key and same result. I am however able to use the remote start function and will start my truck. However when I put the key back in the ignition and turn it to the on position to override the remote start nothing happens. My truck stays remote started and shows on the dash insert key to start. For some reason I am able to remote start the truck now with the door opened even though I haven’t been able to before.

I have towed the truck to the dealership and it’s been there for a week and they are still trying to figure out what’s going on.

i wanted to see if anyone has had this issue and what the fix is.

Confirming that you have key in ignition setup? How are you remote starting, by key fob or app? Is your remote start factory or aftermarket?

I went through a similar event last march. went into a store. came back out and started 2019 XLT 5.0 dash was completely black.. restarted same thing. drove home. about 1/2 mile everything seemed OK. wrench was on. took to dealer and they could find no codes or anything. wrong. they replaced the battery. 3 1/2 years 20,000 miles. seemed to fix it. having some problems now 11-23. had it in for O&F and they said battery was good. I suggest you go to autozone and have them check and get a battery from them.

The day before all of this happened I took my truck to Advanced Auto as I suspected some kind of battery drainage. Advanced check the battery and everything came back as good but to needed a charge. That same day I put the battery on a tender for 8 hours. Later that night I took a voltage meter and checked the battery and received a result of 12.6v. I started up the truck to ensure everything was good. Everything worked great. Then the next morning I started my truck and this is when everything happened. I bought the battery less than a year ago.

I did that when the truck was 3 months old.
