I throw mine in that little cubby below the door handle, they fit well there, wallet goes up on the tray on the top of the dash. I LOVE the push button start personally, 4 of my vehicles have it.

that's one of the dumbest, most self-contradicting articles i've ever read. "when you unlock the car from a distance, thieves can steal the code". ok. maybe that's true. solution: "store the key in a metal container, or a refrigerator, or the microwave, or wrap it in tin foil, or just store it far away from the car." what? it also referred to 'radio signal' as 'radial'. come on.

What do you do with your keys when you're sitting down for a meal or at work?

Neither does mine, and I have proximity entry and keyless push button start.

Guess: Leaves them in the ignition of the truck

So take the huge lump of keys out of your pocket on a long road trip, or reduce the size of your lump of keys

I usually don't sit for very long for a meal. Stand while at work unless I am driving from job to job.

As for whittling down the size of the "lump of keys" I have done that several times and only carry the essentials (house, car, truck, etc). I took all infrequently used keys and put on a separate ring that I keep in the door pocket of the truck ironically.

When I say long drive, I typically drive 1000 miles any given week, keys in ignition, wallet in door pocket for easy access, cup holders being used for *gasp* cups and/or bottles....

Truth... Never said Keyless start is bad. I just happen to prefer a key. My VW Passat is push button, I do like it too, pros and cons of each I guess.
