Great to hear that KC will soon be producing production trucks. What happens to all the pre-prod trucks that get built? Do all the Ford exec's get to have one in their driveway?

Got my VIN and expected delivery date of 3/29 from DTP. Ordered just before Christmas and I just can't wait to start driving my first F150!

Thats what I believe happens. The chiefs and exec's get to drive them around giving us feedback and comments on what to fix/make better on next iterations of trucks

Clearance for MP2 has been given to us just last Thursday so we're getting closer each day! I think we're looking at putting out 160 units tomorrow w/ 3 shifts:thumbsup:

Luther North Country, one of the few dealers in the country that regularly stocks the HD payload packages.

So either thats a mistake, or they've got a preproduction truck for sale on the lot?

As far as I know (supplier) they are not running production yet.

Maybe roadPilot knows.

Yes, they are running production, albeit at very low numbers. IIRC, they've built about 300 vehicles considered production (for retail sale).

All trucks built prior to this are what they call "P1" builds. They may OR may not be salable. Most of these will (should) go to Ford executives/others to drive as company cars.

However, some P1 builds may/will make it to a dealership for use by the dealership or for retail sale.

As an update to my previous message about our shipments to KCAP this week: It's still pretty much on schedule. We did ship a few extra units this week (~1,750 vs. 1,500), but they are largely ramping up as expected.

If these are beginning to show up at dealers, that is good news. I ordered two months ago, and still no VIN, so I cannot obsess over COTUS.

Have you PM'd FordService yet? mine was stuck in lala land until I asked them, and within 2 days I got a VIN # and have been checking COTUS every 30 seconds since.

After getting my truck I was having COTUS withdrawals. But I can assure everyone you can ween yourself off of it. No professional help is needed. It's tough though.

Thanks! COTUS has my delivery set for 3/29 now so I've been contemplating what I'm going to do once it arrives. I figured I'd spend the first week or so in the garage admiring it, but eventually the wife is going to want me to come in the house, and other than come on here and brag about how great it is, I don't know what else to do...
