KC updates?

Any body heard how it's going in KC? I am on hold till they begin production for my 8 foot bed! Is there anyone who works out there on this forum? Supervision maybe? I know there is a supplier stating they upped their units to 600 starting this week but does that translate into trucks that can be delivered? Surely there is a source out there that can enlighten us........

I'm the 'supplier' guy. They can't build trucks without HVACs (heating/venitlation/AC unit under your dash), and that's what we supply.

Prior to this past Monday, we have shipped just over 1,000 units to KCAP.

This week, we shipped exactly 600 more. No more are due.

Next week, we owe them about ~1,500 units. For reference, that's about the same amount we are sending to DTP each day.

The last week of FEB, looks like ~1,100.

MAR (per week):
3,000
3,500
3,900
4,200
4,000

April (per week):
5,000
5,600

This all assumes no production issues (anywhere) and KCAP ramps up according to current schedule. If anything goes wrong (not with our component, per se, but with any sub assembly or process), those numbers can shift down drastically and be pushed into the future.

Next week, we are actually bringing in the new crew for training and to start running the new (second) P552 (F150) production line, predominately to support KCAP volumes ramping up.

I work at KCAP in engineering. The big wigs from Ford were here yesterday and today to basically inspect the trucks we had produce thus far and see how everything was going. We got approved to start production of NP2 (closer to production trucks, as the previous ones were NP1.) Production will start ramping up here next week. Starting at 100 units then increasing each day by about 20...

OP, is your truck single cab, crew, or supercrew?

Do you know why the delay on building regular cab with 6.5' box?

Have you built any regular cab's yet?

Patiently waiting for a Reg Cab 122" wb Sport to Be built. Ordered November 3rd.

Like I said we just got approved to start building NP2. We spent today clearing out NP1's so we can start NP2's tonight/this weekend.

Have you been notified that there has been a delay?

If memory serves me right we will start building single cabs first, followed by crew, then supercrew so your truck will/should be one of the first ones out of KCAP

KCMizzouFan,

Have you heard any rumblings in the plant about the back seat armrests not closing correctly in the King Ranch and Platinum's?

Is KC going to be the only one building trucks with the HD Payload package? If that's the case I've got a long wait for my Super Crew..

Thanks from all of us that have been waiting for a single cab truck.
