Actually The piece of paper they showed me on the Platinum had the A/Z/D pricing on it with invoice and holdback. It was only a couple grand less than invoice so I knew it would be pointless to argue since we were about 6,500 apart and not 2k or 3k.

The reality is they are lying, they can do better, they just don't want too. I understand on the '16s why they try to hold the line with 15's on the lot. The guy I tried to buy the '16 Lariat from seem to indicate that 14k off was a doable number just not until the '15s are gone. They said they would do it on a '15 and came out with a piece of paper to dealer trade a '15 that was the right color but that's not what I wanted (one with Sync 2).

Can you tell me which truck this was? The best I can do locally is about $9k off. They won't go any lower. I would buy a 2015 at $14k off, I just have never seen it or even close.

Anyone heard of a construction rebate. The place I'm thinking of buying from offers the normal rebate and then they offer a construction rebate since there remodeling there store. How ever all they will go is 9k

They can call it anything they want. If their best price is 9k you either buy or walk. I assume you walked.

They told me they could do 14k off a 2015 Loaded Lariat but not a '16.

Sticker on the 2016 Lariat I was looking at was 60k. They said most they would do on it was 10k but they would find me the exact truck or one similar and give me 14k off MSRP on a '15. I stopped them and said it had to be a '16 because I wanted Sync 3. That was the end of that deal.

They never got that far. The one I went there to look at was just over 60k. I wrote down a number on the sheet they gave me that I would pay which was 14k off +tax. He took it to his sales manager. He was gone for 10 minutes and I got tired of sitting there and needed to go anyway so I walked into the bullpen where they were and they were searching other dealer inventory for the same truck but a 2015. Sales manager said they didn't have that much room on a '16 and the most they could knock off was 10k. But if he could find the exact truck in a '15 he could knock 14k off. I said the only problem is I want Sync 3. That makes the only option a '16. He said he didn't have that kind of room yet. On my way out the sales guy indicated that it wasn't impossible on the '16 they just wanted to get rid of the '15's first. He commented "I knew I should have brought it to the other guy" meaning the other manager.

Anyhow still ready to write the check as soon as someone blinks

If they don't I'll stick with ole faithful another year and pickup a '16 next winter. Or I may get an F250 or buy a Chevy. It's all up in the air and on the table.
