Default Just got the "wrench" warning light. Read manual?

My 2015 has been flawless since I bought it new, but I just started getting this wrench symbol warning light while driving. It says, "read manual."
The truck still runs fine, and the message does not say anything about "Check 4x4" or "Powertrain Malfunction/Reduced Power/Electric Throttle Control" as I read in the manual.
The warning light is off the next time I start it but comes on after a few miles down the road. It currently has 36,390 miles.

Crazy question, are you still on original battery? Even if not, you have low miles, I would start by making sure it had a fully charged battery.

Not a crazy question, yes I am on the original battery. I just went out and put a digital voltmeter on it, 12.12 volts. That's a little lower than I've seen a good battery measure.
It starts and runs fine but I might have to swing by the local Auto Zone to load test it.

Many times goofy electrical things like yours is tied to a low charged or battery going bad. Many get 3-5 years tops, considering you are at 9+, I know where my money would start. Actually, if you can, charge it. Seems electrical items require a minimum low voltage more than a starter does.

Do you have a FORScan adapter and FORScan? I’d start by looking for trouble codes.

But yeah…the 9 year old battery has served you well.

No, I don't have FORScan. You folks are probably right about the battery, I've been buying Fords since 1986 and the original Motorcraft batteries lasted at a minimum 8 years before they die.
I'll report back on what I find.
