Today I made the mistake of test driving a F150 4x4 XLT with the Sport package. Engine is the 3.5 Eco boost and backed up with the 10 speed. Truck also has 3:55 gears and 36 gallon tank and optional trailer tow package along with a few other options. I was blown away by how fast the truck was. It felt solid as a rock and was as quiet as a nice car. I was interested in the V8 until I test drove the 3.5 Eco.
A few back and forth counter offers and I agreed to buy it. Ford was running about $9K in rebates on this model and discounted the truck to $38K plus they gave me more for my trade than what I paid for it.
We pick it up tomorrow.

Nice! Congrats... Pics please when you get it... I did the exact opposite. I drove the 3.5EB first and then the 5.0 I rarely tow and was completely smitten with the V-8 sound. I agree the EB is a torque monster but for me the V-8 is more than adequate and makes me smile every time I drive it. I do wish for the 10 speed. Would make it more responsive and probably help fuel mileage too.
