Gotcha! Ya, there isn't a lot there on the OEM IWEs to mesh. Thanks.

UPDATE:

I took my truck in this morning to the dealer and had it back by early afternoon with everything repaired. I was able to duplicate the noise with the technician, who stated that he thought it was coming from the front left. He stated that the driver's side tends to have IWE problems more often, but that they may replace both hubs.

Anyways, when I came to pick it up they stated that they only replaced components on the front driver's side wheel. The invoice stated that they tested the IWE with a vacuum pump and the actuator did not fully disengage the IWE. They replaced the IWE actuator assembly at the wheel, the hub, and the wheel bearing (and a couple of other small parts). So far it sound like the sound is gone.

I asked them about replacing both front hubs, and the service manager stated "not for a warranty job". I can't say that I was impressed that they didn't replace the passenger hub as well, but I assume the IWE actuator at the driver's side wheel was the culprit all along. So, I assume the passenger side should be ok.

Either way I'm glad it was all covered under the powertrain warranty. Thank you for all of your suggestions.

And I changed over to the new IWE Check Valve when I got home, just for prevention.

BTW, same thing can be accomplished by simply pulling the power on the solenoid, for free.
Pulling fuse 39 in the Underhood Junction Box does the exact same thing.

Haven't looked, but doesn't that take some other things too?

AFAIK, it's just the IWE Solenoid.

It's good that things went as they did, nice you were able to replicate the sound. That's pretty normal only replacing what the original problem was, they aren't going to spend where they don't have too. Sounds like the tech followed directions finding that, bad seal, it happens. Now you know a little more about this thing.

Your second IWE at the same wheel, or a different wheel?
