No problem. LOL, sounds like someone put too much thought into it. The first valve I bought was right over the parts counter at my dealer, the YG360. That valve is also used in other applications, but at that time, it was the best option. Ford just recently updated.
I bet you went to Amazon. It does say the valve is not compatible, but myself, and many others can say it is. In fact, I Have two installed in tandem, or series.
Ford has come out with an updated valve, that includes the hoses. Here is a link to it.

It was O'Reilly Auto. Thanks for the part number.....

Read through this whole thread, and there is a lot of good information.
I had a question though. I took my 2008 FX4 to the dealership to get my lower ball joints replaced. When receiving my truck back I noticed the loud rattle noise when in 2 wheel drive pressing on the gas pedal. Filled it into 4 wheel drive and the noise went away, and going through this thread I decided to take a look and noticed that the mechanic at the dealership didn't connect the vacuum line back into the actuator. I connected the line and the noise went away. I only drove the truck for probably 20 miles with the vacuum off. I'm wondering if any hard could have been caused to my hub due to the line being disconnected?

In that short of a distance, probably not. But, you really shouldn't have heard any noise from the disconnected side, that IWE should have been engaged. I suspect you heard the opposite side grinding, likely held just enough vacuum to be in between. Hose off on the right side, passenger? Is that right?

Old Fart
i am again hearing the noise that has bedeviled me a few months ago. It is now louder and only first initial drive of the day. I switch to 4L and the sound goes away, but not immediately. Takes a second or so. But it also goes away on its own. So I am not sure if mine is truly IWE related.
I am also within about 35 days of trading it on my order that is due the first week of September. Not sure what I want to do here. Spend the time dealing with the service department or kick the can down the road.
Should still have 12K and 9 months of warranty left. The next owner may have to deal with it.

That makes sense. I didn't realize you had an 11th gen at first. Your Checkvalve and solenoid are on the right, passenger side, where as the 12th and 13th are on the left, driver side. The hose was off on the IWE furthest from the vacuum source, and the system was able to maintain only enough vacuum to get you into the in between state on the right side. Hope that made sense. At any rate, glad it's fixed!

My truck is at the dealer now, waiting on a new check valve to come in. Truck did this for maybe 8 times prior to me getting it in shop. Assuming the check valve does fix the problem, do I need to demand the IWEs are fully changed? Have they done same to other's trucks or evaluated the hubs/IWEs?

Is there an updated part even recent builds like mine could benefit from? My build date is Jun 04, 2018. For what little they cost, it'd be worth replacing proactively, even for newer trucks like mine. If not the latest, I'd like to replace mine too, since any grinding has to be detrimental to the gears.
