So I upgraded to sync 3 with 2.2 update and new hc3z-19a387-b usb port from sync 2 and everything works as it should except the ipod .It is an older ipod . This unit came from 17 Escape . My wife has 16 escape and it works fine in her car. I notice they have 2 usb ports available . I was wondering if anyone else had similar problems ?

 

What exactly is the issue? It's not seeing the iPod at all?

 

the ipod will play sometimes but most times it says device not compatible . The new usb port came in unopened package .

 

I have a similar issue with my iPhone. I just bought my truck last week.

 

I might try a different usb port

 

Mine does the same thing. Sometimes it works and other times it says device not responding.
