iPhone/Carplay vs Android/Android Auto
I have been an iPhone user for years and now just getting into Android.
It may be lack of knowledge of settings in Android or it just doesn't work the same as iPhone.
My question is about the two music apps.
On the iPhone when playing music either in Car Play or just connected to Sync3 I "can" fast forward through a selection and the next selection will play when the current one is finished. The time remaining or the total time for the current selection is displayed with a progress bar.
On the Android neither of these functions work either in Android Auto or just connected to Sync3. If I attempt to fast forward the next selection comes up. Once that selection is done, nothing happens although the next selection appears on the screen. I have to press the stop/play button twice to get the new selection to play. There is no time or progress bar displayed.
Hopefully it is just a setting that I am missing.
Can someone please tell where that setting is located?

Never used the carplay as I haven't bothered to get the updated USB hub. However, I use Android Auto also every single day.
The two music apps I use are Amazon Music and Google Play Music....neither one of them have any progress bar or time remaining, so no fast forwarding. You can easily skip to the next song by pressing the next arrow on the screen.
It's possible that other apps, such as Pandora, or Spotify (haven't tried either) might allow you to do what you're asking.

Thanks for the answer, it confirms what I was concerned about. Not good for me.
Any answer on the next selection not auto-playing when the current one is finished?
