Default IPhone 7 and Sync

I replaced my IPhone 5 with an IPhone 7. IPhone 5 would speak text messages to me. Yesterday I received a text and it didn't appear on the screen Went to phone settings and got a message that said "connected device does not support message to text" or words to that effect. Did I do something wrong when pairing the phone or does the IPhone 7 really not have this capability? I kind of doubt that because I can do the message to text with the radio on the bike.

I also have an iPhone 7. You may need to go into your phones Bluetooth setting and then hit the little info icon next to F150 and then activate show notifications. I tested this out when I first got the truck a couple months ago and it seemed to work....I haven’t really received any texts while driving recently though.
