Default intro and first ? Does package 302A have Navigation

Hi Guys, occasional lurker and this is my first post as you can see.

Can anyone please tell me if Lariat option group 302A includes Navigation? I actually drove 200 miles today to find the exact truck I wanted which included package 302A. The salesman told me Nav was not part of this package and therefore the truck did not have Nav.

Seeing how this truck was decently equipped I was kinda shocked that it did not have Nav. Upon further investigation I see that 302A includes SYNC. Does having SYNC mean you have Nav? He said Nav would show up on the window sticker as Voice Nav at 795.

I looked online at various window stickers and there seem to be many nicely equipped trucks which do not have Voice Nav as an option. I believe this salesman has no idea what he is talking about. I did not buy the truck because I believed it did not have nav. I think you guys will tell me it does include Nav and I will go back tomorrow to get it. For whats its worth I would have had to go back anyway to get my Tacoma but Im not going to tell them that.

I would love to see as many of you reply as possible as I would love to be 100 percent certain before I go back.

A little about myself. This is my first full size truck, I have a 3 year old and with another one on the way the Tacoma (great truck bought new 18 years ago) has got to go.

I have been into old Mustangs for as long as I can remember so their really was no decision to be made regarding what full size truck to buy. I test drove a 302 4WD Crew Cab Short Bed today and I was completely sold on it.

Thanks in advance for your help with this. Looking forward to learning from all of you and eventually contributing as well.

You can have sync and not nav. I think you can even have the 501a WO nav. My opinion, memory card based nav is worthless. There is no better nav than Google maps. A month after I bought my truck the nav was outdated due to the highways changing 5 miles from my house.

Nav is so not worth it, get a good device with lifetime maps.

There is no Lariat 302a.

XLT 302a - navigation is an option
Lariat 500a - navigation is an option
Lariat 501a - navigation is an option
Lariat 502a - navigation is included

OK. Yes, I meant to say XLT 302A. So now knowing that 302A does not include NAV once again some of you guys would just get your own devices or just not have it.

Whats your opinion on resale values with no nav?

Its not like I really need it as believe it or not my 98 Tacoma did not have much at all so its not like im spoiled.

Thanks again for the help. Much appreciated.

with the 302a package on my XLT I use my phone app to look up businesses them send them to my vehicle. The app is called destinations. After you sent the destination to sync you hit the voice button and say services. It will notify you that a new destination has been sent and asks to download it. After download is complete it will give you voice prompts and arrows to show you where to turn. It works quite well

Its 800 for a gps that from what im told you have to pay later for updates. Id just get a garmin for 200.. and spend that 800 on a better option like towpackage or fx4
