Default Interior leds

Hey guys. I just bought a new 2017 f150. I have been doing small things to it. This week's project was neon led strips for the interior. I have them connected and they look great. They have a option to run additional wires so that when you open the doors, the strips will light up white only. I was going to hook them up to the courtesy light in the back. The one by the clothes hanger on the passenger side. When I pulled that light down, there are three wires. Could anyone tell me which is power and which is ground and what the third is? Also is there a better location to connect to? I have read there is a trigger switch for the door behind the kicker panel on the passenger side, by the fuse box and the trigger switch is for the ground. This would probably work great for me but I don't know what it looks like and the exact location. Does anyone know anything about that?

Thank you in advance for any and all help.
