Pic related, to those who got to get inside and touch, are the panels around the vents as such metal or just painted aluminum plastic?

Very little doubt these are plastic, if for no other reason cost and no value in them being metal.

Looking at the pic I love the look but just realized no ledge above the traction ctrl/4-way flasher/air bag override and no cubby under the 4wd switch. I'm going to miss those!

Me too! I put my phone in the cubby under the 4wd switch.

The cubby will be there if you don't get the trailer brake control.

Rumble_b 09-05-2014 09:45 PM

That may be true, but it looks a lot lower than it is now. Not a good spot.

Ok I'm just being picky for fun. It really wouldn't matter to me if I was to get a 15. I can find a new spot for my phone. I got time, plan on getting a 16.

Is it me or do the window controls look like a long reach?

Hm, I remember reading somewhere that they were metal

"In King Ranch and Platinum versions, high-quality leather seats, real stitched dashboards, genuine wood and real metal trim create a truly upscale environment. "

Perhaps 'metallic' but not metal. The last two F150s I've owned didn't have any metal parts in the interior (including the door fixtures and exterior grill) except the shifter and brake pedal. Why? Not necessary unless you're a Neanderthal using your vehicle for several decades or more.

I'm curious about that myself. Looks like another 6 weeks before we find out.
